The Sunday scaries are real! But there are things you can do to banish them away. The Sunday reset has been making its way around the inter webs and we are big fans! It doesn’t have to be a deep clean day, just add these items to your to-do list on Sunday. Here’s a list of things to do to make your week go smoother.
- Tidy up the fridge. Pull all the old food and dump it in the compost. Do a quick wipe down on the shelves of the fridge as well as the front side and the handle.
- Basic meal prep. Stock your clean fridge with fresh food from the grocery. Wash and store fruit and veggies in glass containers. If you have extra time, chop and dice onions, peppers and garlic and have ready for weekday meal preparation.
- Counter sweep. Wipe down your counters with your favorite counter cleaner and tidy up areas that become cluttered with mail or dirty dishes.
- Bathroom hot spots. Clean your bathroom counters and put clean washcloths and towels out for the week. Do a quick toilet bowl clean and shake out bathroom rugs.
- Vacuum and sweep. Sweep your kitchen floors and vacuum carpets or rugs in living spaces. No need to scrub the floors, just remove the dog hair, dust and food crumbs from these hot zones of your house.
- Laundry zone. Run a load of laundry, fold clothes and put them away.
- Bedroom sweep. Put any items tossed on your bedroom or closet floor away. Wipe down your nightstand and refresh tissues.
- List dump: Write down all your to-dos for the week for work and personal life to get it out of your head. Research shows that writing things down can help reduce anxiety and may even help alleviate procrastination!
If all these tasks feel overwhelming, break them up into two parts of the day. Tackle the kitchen and bath tasks in the morning and the laundry and bedroom tasks in the evening.
