As the star of HGTV’s Curb Appeal, Gidding uses his expertise in design to completely transform his clients’ living spaces. Now he’s bringing those talents to SHLTR, hosting a new interactive series that helps members of our online community rethink and refresh their homes.
Hopefuls DM SHLTR with their home renovation story, sending photos and videos of the current space. After John picks a client, he creates a completely bespoke plan for them, laying out a full design and making recommendations on products, paint and finishes that take their projects to the next level.
In this first episode, John works with Antonia, a grad student from upstate New York that’s trying to bring her hopelessly outdated kitchen up to par with a gas range, a smaller drawer refrigerator, a composting station, and enough counter space to cook up some epic meals.
