5 Hotel Interiors We’Re Loving Right Now

We believe that the interior design of a hotel is just as important as the cleanliness and comfiness of the experience. Here are five hotels that have made a mark with their creative design and aesthetic.

Hotel St. Cecilia

Austin, TX

Calling all the creatives. The Hotel St. Cecilia was created in honor of the patron saint of music and poetry. How cool is that for a hotel vibe? The sleek lobby is painted in its very own signature blue and boasts its own retail store that carries a selection of luxuries like travel necessities and souvenirs. Oh, and there’s the glow of the funky neon sign with the word SOUL casting a pink glow on the groovy pool at night. There are studios, suites and poolside bungalows decked out in old-world luxury decor. Everything about this hotel’s design aesthetic invites guests in to kick back, relax and enjoy.

Graduate Tucson

Tucson, AZ

Part of a collection of more than 30 hotels, Graduate Hotels are based in university towns rich with college culture. The Graduate Tucson is nestled in the heart of the University of Arizona’s campus and its modern interiors boast a southwestern feel with decor inspired by the flora and fauna of the region. Neutral backdrops are infused with pops of colors and lots of local art. A hip rooftop pool, an open sun-filled lobby with tons of natural light, and rooms that are modern and comfortable, make this a place that visitors don’t want to leave.

Hotel Claremont Atlanta, by Oliver

Atlanta, GA

The six-story brick building is brimming with historic charm and the lobby’s mood is all 1970’s with tons of houseplants and velvety couches.  The lobby bar is dark and moody with a mix of navy-blue velvet textiles, gold accents and peacock chairs. Outside, the rooftop bar is a funky mix of AstroTurf, an original radio tower branded with the hotel’s name, and a skyline view of the city.

Freehand Chicago

Chicago, IL

Located in Chicago’s vibrant River North neighborhood, the Freehand Chicago is one of four hotels in major cities under the Freehand brand. The building itself is a restored 1920s Art Deco building that sits among high rises. The rooms are designed by New York based architecture and design studio Roman and Williams. The hotel’s interiors are modern with colorful throw rugs, textile wall hangings and globally inspired furnishings.

Hotel Andra Seattle

Seattle, WA

Sophistication and style sum up the interiors of this downtown Seattle boutique hotel. Scandinavian influence is everywhere from the cozy fireplace in the lobby with plush lounge seating areas, to the comfy guestrooms with a spacious flat-like feel. On the second floor of the hotel’s building, resides the Hot Stove Society Cooking School, where events and classes are regularly held. The Hotel Andra was nominated in Travel and Leisure’s “World’s Best” Awards.
