The French Farmhouse of Our Dreams

Watching House Hunters International one day, Charlotte Reiss fell head over heels for France and wished for a country house there. That wish came true and Charlotte purchased a 200-year-old farmhouse in France, near the Bordeaux, Deux-Sévres region.

Over time, she was able to find the perfect items to decorate her country home. She developed such an affinity for the vintage pieces she was collecting that Charlotte founded Vivi Et Margot. Everything sold was originally purchased in France and imported into the United States. The idea was to make the beautiful vintage items she fell in love with accessible to everyone. The store is named for Charlotte’s two daughters, Vivienne and Margot.

Growing up in Marlborough, Wilshire in England, Charlotte eventually found her way to Los Angeles, where she currently lives and is raising her young family with her husband, Sky Reiss. The busy mother and entrepreneur also  heads up a successful modeling agency, The Lions. It only makes sense that such a beautiful French country home is owned by such an extraordinary person.

Charlotte’s farmhouse was completely over the course of 5 years, in which she traveled back and forth from LA to France several times during the construction and renovation of the home. Enjoy the visual tour of Charlotte’s French home below.
