Mesh Laundry Bag for Socks

No more lost socks with this simple hack. Keep a mesh bag in your laundry bin and when sorting laundry, put all the socks in the mesh bag. Throw the bag in the dryer and match your pairs without searching. 

Dry Towel for Faster Drying

When you need something dried quickly, throw a dry towel or two into the load, it will speed up your drying time. 

Versatile Vinegar

There are several ways to use white distilled vinegar to aid your laundry process. Adding one-half cup to the final rinse of your washing cycle will brighten colors. Pretreat stains with a mixture of ½ cup vinegar and a gallon of warm water. Pour the mixture over the stain and rub gently. Clean your washing basin by adding one cup of vinegar to a regular wash cycle without clothes. 

Ice Cubes for Wrinkles

Running late and your shirt is wrinkled? Throw a few ice cubes into the dryer and let it run for 10 minutes. The ice will melt, creating steam and undoing wrinkles while you get ready. 

Dry Erase Notes on Washer

Keep a few dry erase markers near your laundry area and use them to write special care instructions right on the washing machine. 

White Chalk for Grease Stains

Just rub a piece of white chalk onto a grease stain and let it sit before throwing into the wash. The chalk absorbs the grease, taking away all signs of that meatball sandwich you had for lunch. This works best when you treat the stain right away!

Shorter Drying Time with Wool Dryer Balls

Wool dryer balls are great substitutes for dryer sheets. They serve two purposes. 1) They speed up drying time. 2) They can freshen up you’re the scent of your laundry. Add a few drops of your favorite essential oil to the dryer ball and notice fresher smelling clothes.
