Sunrise and Coffee
They go together like peanut butter and jelly and look and taste different when you’re out in the wild compared to sitting in your kitchen. Unzipping your tent when the sun rises, breathing in fresh air while making cowboy coffee is a ritual only those who love to camp can appreciate.
Disconnecting from Tech
Taking a break from technology and constantly checking social is good for everyone. Camping makes it easy to unplug and focus on nature, your camping companions, and the galaxy above. There aren’t a lot of places you can go these days where you can truly disconnect from the automation and go fully manual.
Hiking
Hiking is a perk of any camping experience. Moving your body and exploring the natural world simultaneously checks two boxes in the wellness category. Plus, there’s nothing like returning to your campsite to eat and rest afterwards with no chores to do, calls to answer or bills to pay.
Cooking Outside
Though there’s a good amount of planning involved and not as much convenience, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of cooking over an open flame out in nature. Camping meals can be delicious and utterly simple.
Creating Traditions
For most people camping happens annually or seasonally, making it a recurring tradition with select family and friends. Going back to the same beautiful spot to hike, roast s’mores and sing by the campfire is the stuff that makes stories are made of.
